The Dorsett Golden apple tree produces an excellent, crisp, firm, and sweet fleshed apple. The Dorsett Golden apple is surrounded by a yellow skin with a kiss of red blush. The Dorsett Golden is one of our best apple varieties for the warm southern and coastal locations since it requires less than 100 hours of winter chill. The Dorsett Golden apple tree is a wonderful all-purpose apple. It's very early bearing, but needs thinning to stay productive over the years. Stores well for early apple.
